Here is a quick tip for a slow running tub. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain followed by 1 cup HOT vinegar. You will see it foam and bubble.
This will not work if your tub drain is clogged and water is standing in the tub. Use this tip when you first notice that it is draining slowly. Don't wait until it clogs completely. Remember, as always, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and using this recipe is way less expensive than chemical drain cleaners or even worse, having to call the plumber.

Good to know if you have a septic system too! Drano is bad for septics.
Excellent tip - I wish I had it last week when I had to buckle down and get draino for our shower drain! Next time I'm doing this! Do you microwave the vinegar or boil it on the stove? How long to you heat it?
